Kansas Reads: The Learning Tree

Kansas Reads: The Learning Tree by Gordon Parks is a statewide project encouraging all Kansas adults to read, discuss and experience the same book. Several of McPherson College's EN111 classes will be reading The Learning Tree this spring. Stop by Miller Library and see our display featuring poems and photography by Kansas native Gordon Parks.

The project is sponsored by the Kansas Center for the Book at the State Library and promoted by Kansas libraries, bookstores and others from January 29 to April 30, 2007. The Learning Tree was chosen for its broad-based appeal and ability to encourage and sustain spirited discussion. For information about activities around the state, visit http://skyways.lib.ks.us/orgs/kcfb/learningtree.htm
